Cody

(Original loaded on February 19, 2004 1:07 A.M. EST) Prior to the start of the study on Autism

"Hi again Dana.  I am resending Cody's pictures. I have even better one's I just haven't scanned them all to the computer but you should be able to see a viable difference in his eyes and behavior"

Cody 4 weeks old and very alert and holding himself up for this picture
Cody at about 4 months old  - -happy and healthy
Cody at about 5 or 6 months old - -1st time I let him try feeding himself
Cody between 8 and 9 months old - -had just finished playing on his rocking horse and we getting ready to go "bye-bye"
Cody at about 2  - -Notice the sore on his face.  He still gets that and no doctor knows why or what it is
Cody at 2 1/2 - -instead of asking  for things now he leads us to what he wants
Now he is avoiding looking at his dad holding the camera
Cody also does
"hand flapping"
Cody at 3 - - He's having the start of "a meltdown" on the porch  - he didn't handle transition well at all

Cody at 4 - -still no eye contact or speech - but we did get a rare smile

Four months after his diagnosis. Just before his fifth birthday

Taken the same day as the photo above

Today - - 6 yrs old my son Cody

"I myself and his father family and friends see that he was once a normal child.  I would really like to know what you see.  I have more and better pictures.  As I said I would eat up my hard drive if I loaded them all in to my computer!  Thanks again, Dana, for calling me. I'll try to get in touch with Dr. Martin (either) today if I can't get him today I'll call on Monday - I don't want to disrupt his weekend.  Take care.  Let me know if you see the changes my family and friends saw in Cody thru these pictures."

HI Dana

Hope you like the pictures. This is my family and Cody's; yeah little brother is as mean as he looks. LOL. He is an angel with horns but we love them both .

I want to let you know Cody has shown this week signs of remembering how his day went and then relaying it to his dad on the phone.

Usually when someone asks how school was he just says "fine" and if you ask him what he did today his normal response is "I don't know" but yesterday because my step daughter had been playing with the clock the night b4.

We missed Cody's school bus and I had to drive him to school.  When my ex called that night to talk to Cody , Cody told him "Heather messed up the clock so Mommy and Brother had to take me to school and I almost missed school."

I see this as a bit of improvement cause he has never been able to do this b4.

Have a great day and let me know when you would need to have the parents views on autism paper. I'll start working on it as soon as I can.

Always,
Angie
