Other products used by
organic farmers include
volatile extracts obtained
from the saps of various
trees. Large numbers of
Japanese farmers use a
distilled mixed extract from
cypress, pine and cedar
trees and plantain This
product has only minimal
content of very few minerals
but nevertheless has potent
plant growth enhancing
activities.
Other tree sap derived
products said to have
energetic properties are
frankincense, myrrh, tea
tree oils and many others.
The movement of sap within
plants is consistent with a
role as a carrier of
physical energies in
addition to its accepted
role in transporting water
and nutrients.
Biological Activities of
ACE-pigment-like Natural
Products
Undoubtedly the most
convincing evidence for
biological activity of these
natural products comes from
observations made with
plants. Even relatively
small applications can
greatly enhance both the
quantity and the quality of
various types of plants,
including commercial crops.
Apparent changes in plant
vitality can be seen within
hours of application. Strips
of pastures that have been
sprayed with product are not
only greener than control
intervening strips but are
said to be decidedly
preferred by grazing
animals.
Animals fed these products
as food additives will
typically appear healthier
than control animals and
have less odorous feces.
Quantitative studies on lean
body weight and number of
prescriptions of antibiotics
and/or steroids in response
to ill health, have
confirmed a beneficial
effect of these products.
Testimonial data on human
consumption also support a
health and vitality benefit.
A major question to be
answered is the mechanism of
this growth enhancing
activity. It is unlikely
that the products are
providing consumable
calories. They could,
however, be enhancing the
conversion of regular
nutrients into cellular
energy. This appears to be
unlikely, however, since the
benefits being seen are not
matched by simply increasing
food intake.
Another suggestion is that
the products are providing a
source of electrons in help
maintain a negative redox
(reduction-oxidation)
potential. This property may
explain some of the benefits
attributed to the
consumption of “hydrogen
rich” reducing water but
water by itself is far less
potent than the
mineral-based or plant-
derived products.
A novel explanation for how
these products are working
is the emission of a
physical energy that can be
consumed by living cells and
utilized by the cells to
provide better harmonization
of cellular reactions. It is
proposed that in the
presence of an energy field,
cells can better coordinate
their overall activities
towards a more unified
function. Methods are being
devised to test this
hypothesis.
Augmentation with Externally
Applied Physical Energies
Even though the issue of
emission of a biologically
active energy remains
speculative, there is less
uncertainty that ACE
products can respond to
externally applied physical
forces.
Throughout the years various
proponents have laid claims
to health beneficial effects
of external sources of
energy. These include the
simple concept of sunlight,
music (as pioneered by Dr.
Alfred Tomatis and which
includes traditional
chanting), multi-wave
oscillators (as promoted by
Georges Lakhovsky and also
practiced by Edgar Cayce),
frequency controlled light
emitting tubes (as promoted
by Royal Raymond Rife),
magnetism (as originally
promoted by Franz Anton
Mesmer), hand delivered
therapies including Rieki
and Chinese healing, and
more recently introduced
devices such as low level
lasers, computer generated
scalar waves, Scenar
(Self-Controlled Energo
Neuro Adaptive Regulation)
devices and others.
Various hypotheses have been
put forward to explain the
apparent beneficial effects
observed using physical
energies. Some of the
explanations link the
therapeutic energies with
the body's nervous system,
while others focus on the
possibility of augmenting
immunological reactivity.
The discovery of ACE
products suggests a more
fundamental mode of action
that should be applicable to
all life forms. Ongoing
studies are, therefore,
examining the influence of
various physical energy
modalities and devices on
the energetic behaviors,
including pattern
formations, by ACE products.
It is hoped that a definable
assay system will be
developed to help quantify
and to better characterize
the types of energies
presumably being absorbed
and emitted by ACE products.
Need for Clinical Trials
A major imperative for
studying ACE products is the
potential adjunctive benefit
as therapies for chronic
illnesses. A strong analogy
can be drawn with the desire
of organic farmers to reduce
dependency on herbicides and
insecticides. The arguments
go that by strengthening the
crops they can better
compete with weeds and
furthermore insects tend to
avoid healthy crops in favor
of those with impaired
vitality.
Certainly for infectious
diseases, this analogy would
suggest an alternative to
dependence on antibiotics
and anti-viral agents.
More within the sphere of
alternative medical
practitioners, one
repeatedly hears of the
apparent cures of hepatitis
C patients, HIV infected
AIDS patients and so called
chronic Lyme disease
patients, who have chosen to
pursue a more organic life
style. Even occasional
cancer patients have
apparently seen tumors
recede from simple life
style changes. An innate
capacity for self healing of
cancers is clearly seen in
the maturation process that
affects at least a
proportion of cells in many
types of cancers. It would
be clinically highly
relevant if this type of
self healing were to depend
on an internal energy source
that was being weakened by
conventional chemotherapy.
The conservative nature of
medical practice as well as
likely criticisms by
colleagues and
pharmaceutical industry
sponsored members of State
medical boards, etc, have
acted as deterrents for many
mainstream physicians to
become involved in
non-standard medicine. Yet
physicians get sick as do
their family members and an
argument can be made for a
collective effort to help
unravel what is achievable
using energy-based
therapies.
Unlike clinical trials that
introduce new chemical
compounds of uncertain
toxicities, many of the
energy based protocols are
simply extensions of age old
practices using naturally
occurring compounds. There
is less of a concern with
toxicity than with obtaining
data on possible efficacy.
Suggested Clinical Trials
One of society's greatest
obligations is the health of
its children. The appalling
situation has arisen where
essentially a quarter of
currently children born into
the United States are likely
to experience a serious
childhood disorder.
Autism rates have soared
with something in the order
of 1:160 boys will be
labeled as autistic. Special
educational school programs
are now needed for nearly
one tenth of all school
children. Childhood violence
and other behavioral
problems are resulting in
increasing numbers of
children being placed in
residential care facilities.
Financial and other
considerations are leading
to widespread legal
applications for State
adoption of children. (The
United States Government
Accounting Office noted
12,600 such application in
the year 2001 in nineteen
states for which figures
were available. Figures were
not available for the five
largest states being New
York , California, Florida,
Texas or Pennsylvania.)
Standard pharmaceutical
interventions with drugs
like Adderall, Ritalin,
Zoloft and others have had
at best only marginal
benefits. Surely it is time
for a fresh quantitative
approach in children.
Similarly, the elderly are
increasingly experiencing
both mental and physical
breakdowns. Even the adult
population is becoming more
and more afflicted with
poorly defined disease
entities such as chronic
fatigue syndrome,
fibromyalgia and depression,
as well as more accepted
aliments such as diabetes,
arthritis, cancer, etc.
The enormous consumption of
pharmaceuticals is clearly
outpacing the use of
potential energy based
therapeutic products within
those who could potentially
benefit the most for an
added cellular energy
source. Physicians and
dietitians can help address
this problem by advising
patients to simply test some
of the suggested
mineral-based or other
products shown to have a
potential for providing
cellular energy. Parents
need to be similarly advised
with regards to the care of
their children. Physicians
can also encourage their
patients to participate in
more formal clinical trials.
Centers of Energy Based
Medicine need to become
established throughout the
country to conduct needed
research. The hugely
expanded market for products
along with competitive
pricing for non-patented
products should maintain
costs well below the
eventual savings from
improved health. The time to
act is now.
Summary
If properly approached with
an emphasis on controlled
clinical studies and an open
mind regarding the nature of
the presumed bio-energy
fields that regulate
cellular function,
energy-based medicine could
become a powerful adjunct to
the existing pharmaceutical
approach to modern medicine.
The discovery of
ACE-pigments within diseased
human tissues and their
production in stealth viral
cultures have provided fresh
insights into cellular
energy pathways. Certain
natural products have
ACE-like activities when
used to promote the growth
and health of plants. Some
of these products have been
tried in humans with
encouraging results. More
extensive studies on these
products are warranted.
